Islamabad (Staff Report): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif met with Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Hafeez-ur-Rehman in Islamabad.
During the meeting, matters pertaining to the development of Gilgit Baltistan were discussed.
The GB Chief Minister also thanked the Prime Minister for increasing Gilgit-Baltistan budget besides giving approval to a huge amount for public sector development projects in the area.
The Prime Minister will visit Gilgit Baltistan on 20th of this month and lay the foundation stone of Gilgit Skardu road expansion project.
Hafiz Hafeez ur Rehman also stated that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will generate jobs and promote tourism in the area.
Besides Engineering and Medical College, two universities will be established to facilitate the students of Gilgit-Baltistan, Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman added.
