Iranian FM arrives in Pakistan today

Islamabad (Staff Report): Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif with a high-level delegation, arrives in Islamabad today (Wednesday) on a one-day visit to Pakistan.

Iranian delegation will hold meetings with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Pakistan's National Security Advisor Nasser Khan Janjua.

Iranian FM is also expected to call on President Mamnoon Hussain during his daylong visit to the country.

According to diplomatic sources, the Iranian delegation will meet Pakistani leadership to discuss bilateral relations and issues of mutual concern. The delegation is likely to discuss situation arising from recent terrorist attacks on Iranian border guards.

The meeting agenda will also include several other affairs regarding bilateral ties, regional situation, counter-terrorism measures along Pak-Iran border, gas pipeline project and SAARC summit.
