New Delhi (Staff Report): Well known seasoned Indian actor Om Puri has passed away after a massive heart attack early Friday morning. The veteran artist was 66 years old.

A close associate of Puri and Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) vice president, Ashoke Pandit confirmed the news and took to Twitter to share the news, saying “Sad & shocked to know that versatile actor Om Puri jee has expired due to heart attack early morning today. #RIP.”

Om Puri has appeared in numerous projects in Bollywood, as well as Pakistani, British, and American films.

 

Om Puri , 66, was known for his acting in films like Ardh Satya, Aakrosh, Jane Bhi Do Yaaron, Bhavni Bhavai, Mirch Masala and Dharavi. Puri , a graduate of Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, won the National Film Award for Best Actor for Arohan in 1982.

He performed recently in a Pakistani film ‘Actor in Law’ probably his last completed project.
