Islamabad (web Desk): Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday inaugurated first unit of Haveli Bahadur Shah Power Plant having capacity of 760 megawatts in Jhang, Radio Pakistan reported.

The complete project, which runs on Liquefied Natural Gas, is a Combined Cycle Power Plant with a total production capacity of 1230MW.

The first unit of the power plant has been made functional in 21 months, a record time period.

After completion of the second unit, power plant will generate 1230 megawatt electricity and the project will save two billion rupees annually.

Later, Prime Minister visited Control Room of the power plant, where he was briefed about the details of project.
