Two of Zardari's missing aides recovered

Karachi (Staff Report): Two of the three missing aides of former president Asif Ali Zardari Ghulam Qadir Marri and Ishfaq Leghari, who had gone missing last month, have been recovered from Balochistan on Sunday.

According to a police official, the aides were recovered during a raid by Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) in Mund area of Turbat. The raid was conducted in collaboration with intelligence agencies, the official said.

Leghari and Marri were kidnapped from Karachi and Jamshoro respectively, Nawaz Leghari, another friend of the former president, was picked up from Islamabad.

The two aides were recovered along with a driver and two gunmen -- in all five people.

Earlier, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah had demanded that the close aides of former president Zardari be presented in the courts.

On April 13, Pakistan Peoples Party leaders had walked out of the National Assembly to protest over the issue.
