Dera Ghazi Khan: A women died of fake exorcism on Wednesday, in Dera Ghazi Khan.
In Sajjadabad a resident Nazar Hussain, took his wife Suriya Begum to two fake pirs known as Amaanullah and Abdul Hameed in Naurangabad they told him that his wife requires exorcism and requires spiritual healing.
The fake pirs tied the woman Suriya Begum with a tree to conduct the exorcism, and began beating her with sticks, then tying her upside-down and throwing smoke at her.
The husband reported, he tried to stop the exorcism after watching his wife screaming in agony, but both the fake pirs didn't lend ear to his request.
According to police, when Suriya Begum was brought to Teaching hospital in critical condition, doctors pronounced her dead on arrival. However, further investigation will undergo the body undergoes post-mortem, and the suspects will be arrested immediately.
