Karachi (Staff Report): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed the week with bearish trend as the benchmark KSE-100 index shed 431 points, or 0.86 per cent, to close 49,527 points.
Negativity prevailed throughout the closing session of the week, as the day's high remained just three points above the market opening at 49,961 points. The day's low of 49,478 came towards market close.
Only 39.3 million shares of KSE-100 index companies changed hands in the session, with a total worth of nearly Rs 5.2 billion.
Stocks of 350 companies were traded, of which 101 gained in value, 227 declined and 22 remained unchanged.
