KKR denies reports of series against Peshawar Zalmi

Mumbai (Web Desk): After the news of SRK’s offer a three-match series against current Pakistan Super League (PSL) Champions Peshawar Zalmi Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) denied that it proposed on Thursday.

KKR CEO Venky Mysore said, “There is absolutely no truth in it. We categorically deny this.”

“I just had a word with Shah Rukh and he told me that he has been so busy shooting these days that he didn’t even know that any such league was happening in Pakistan or Dubai let alone calling any franchise owner and congratulating him on winning the tournament,” Mysore added.

Earlier the news was highlighted that KKR owner Shah Rukh Khan had contacted Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi and proposed a three match series between the two teams.

According to details, Bollywood star King Khan, owner of Indian Premier League IPL's twice winning team KKR has not only felicitated the Peshawar Zalmi for winning PSL-2 trophy but also offered a three match series between the winners of T20 leagues, if governments of India and Pakistan permitted.

India last played a test in 2007, with Pakistan and since then repeatedly refusing to play a bilateral series with Pakistan.
