Multan (Staff Report): At least six people were killed in fog related accidents in Multan as a car fell in a canal in the wee hours of Sunday.
After receiving the information, rescue teams reached the scene and shifted the bodies to DHQ for autopsy.
Meanwhile, motorway has been closed for traffic from Faisalabad to Pindi Bhattiya and from Faisalabad to Gojra till better visibility.
Heavy fog had descended on Lahore and adjoining areas, causing overnight suspension of flight schedules and closure of several sections of the motorway.
The visibility was reduced to 50m to 100m at Allama Iqbal Airport prompting a suspension of local and international flights.
According to the airport authorities, PIA`s flight- PK 247 to Dammam was canceled, while the PK-759 flight to Jeddah and PK-725 to Riyadh were delayed.
