Lahore (Staff Report): Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif addressed international seminar in JamiaNaeemia.
He appreciated the services of the Mufti Muhammad Hussain, Maulana Sarfraz Naeemi and Maulana Hassan Jan, for religious activities especially anti-terrorism fatwas.
PM said, “Our Mosques should a symbol of peace, justice should prevail in the society for the protection of the minorities’ rights to avoid social destruction”.
He further said, “Extremism is the foundation of terrorism and Ulemas (religious scholars) can play their important role for the elimination of terrorism and extremist elements while the state authorities are busy in to countering the non-state actors.
Terrorists have misused the term ‘Jihad’ for their personal interest to portray Islam in a wring way, but state is trying to protect nation as its highest priority.
