Petition seeking PM Nawaz, CM Shehbaz’s disqualification rejected

Lahore (Staff Report): Lahore High Court (LHC) has dismissed a petition seeking disqualification of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif.

LHC judge Justice Shams Mahmood Mirza heard a petition filed by a citizen, seeking disqualification of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif.

The petitioner alleged that both Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif had been involved in corruption.

The plaintiff requested the court to disqualify CM Punjab and PM as they don’t match the clauses of articles 63 and 63 of the Constitution.

After hearing the arguments, the court rejected the plea by declaring it inadmissible.
