New Delhi (Web Desk): The set of Padmavati has again fallen victim to violence after Jaipur, the recent details have been provided by Indian media.

In Kolhapur - the historical capital of Maharashtra, the set of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period drama was set on fire by a fringe group.

Indian reports claim that a group of 30-50 people attacked the set late at 10:30pm on Tuesday, they manage to make their way through the bouncers and bodyguard present and set ablaze with torches and petrol bombs. The cast and crew remained safe due to their absence but there were animals present on set during the fire and a horse has been 'badly injured'.

On Wednesday, a complaint was filed after which a few suspects have been taken into custody.

This is not the first attack as two months ago on the set of Padmavati filmmaker Bhansali was assaulted by members of Karni Sena for "presenting wrong facts about (Indian princess) Padmavati" and tarnishing the history of their ancestors.
