Islamabad (Staff Report): The meeting of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will be held at Peshawar’s Administrator (Auqaf) office on Sunday, June 25, 2017 for sighting the moon of Shawwal 1438 AH, Ministry of Religious Affairs stated.
Chairman of the committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman will preside over the meeting.
The meetings of Zonal and District Ruet-e-Hilal Committees will be held at their respective headquarters at the same time.
The statement further stated that the chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will announce the decision of crescent sighting or otherwise subsequently on the basis of information received.
Eid ul Fitr marks the end of Ramzan and is celebrated on 1st Shawwal after sighing of moon.
