PCB issues show-cause notice to Umar Akmal

Lahore (Staff Report): Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a show-cause notice to discarded middle-order batsman Umar Akmal who levelled serious allegations of harsh behaviour and verbal abuse against Pakistan team's head coach Micky Arthur.

The cricket board has given Akmal seven days to file a reply on the matter.

Earlier on Wednesday, Umar Akmal alleged that Arthur used abusive language against him and barred him from using the National Cricket Academy, saying he had to ‘earn that right’.

He said, “Mickey Arthur uttered offensive words against me in front of senior players. I have come here to register a formal complaint against the coaching staff.”

“PCB Chairman Najam Sethi should take notice of the “bad language” of Mickey Arthur. Its shameful for me,” Akmal added.
