Pakistan’s first ever wrestling event to begin today

Karachi (Staff Report): 25 International Wrestlers including four women from around 20 countries will be competing in Pakistan's first-ever international professional wrestling event to be held at the KMC Sports Complex today (Wednesday).

According details, 19 wrestlers had reached Karachi including former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star Wade Barret whereas other six from the United States and Canada would arrive today.

Pakistan origin wrestler Badshah Pehalwan Khan, who is based in France, USA’s Flesh Gordon, England’s Tiny Iron and Wade Barrett are among the prominent wrestlers of the event.

Strict security arrangements have been taken for the mega event while the organisers will reportedly stage shows in Lahore and Islamabad.

Tickets worth Rs1500 to Rs15000 had already been put on sale.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar and Sindh Sports Minister will be present at the opening ceremony due to be held at 6:00pm today (Wednesday).
