Mumbai (Web Desk): Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam on Wednesday offered to apologise if his recent controversial tweets were found to be ‘anti-Muslim’
Under pressure from various quarters, in a series of tweets clarifying his position, Nigam said: “For those who are tainting my tweets anti-Muslim, tell me one place where I have said anything related, and I’ll apologise.”

“Is it that hard to comprehend? Loosen up guys.”
This afternoon, he is likely to address the media and clarify his position on the tweets which kicked up a row.
Earlier on Monday, Nigam blew up a controversy when he lashed out as “forced religiousness” in India after being woken up by the aazaan’ (Muslim calls for prayer) from a mosque near his home.
Nigam posted on Twitter on Monday, “God bless everyone. I’m not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India.”
Muslim community members and organizations criticized, protests and some planning to move court against him.
