Faisalabad: Neo News always been a thorn in the eyes of assertive elements got a bear brunt while covering PPP Faisalabad rally. Neo News reporter Zubair Sajid Dhillon was brutally tortured by police while covering the massive PPP rally.
While covering the rally, Zubair was trying to get a view of the police which was trying to stop participants from entering the rally. Whilst he tried to cover the issue policemen turned their frustration into torture by brutally attacking him. The footage was well recorded by the on location camera.
All electronic and print media associations, including Lahore Press Club, PFUJ, EMPRA and ENCA have greatly decried the event and have asked for immediate action against the perpetrators of the incident. Provincial law Minister Rana SanaUllah has promised to take stern action against those policemen who were involved in the inhumane incident.
PPP information secretary Mustafa Nawaz has condemned the highhandedness of Punjab police, declaring it as their standard trademark.
