Los Angeles (Web Desk): American pop star Beyonce’s father turned to Twitter on Sunday to confirm that his daughter was now the mother of twins, confirming earlier reports of the year's most highly anticipated celebrity birth.
The international media reports that the boy and girl were born on Monday in Los Angeles.
The doctors were not comfortable with sending them home just yet due to a "minor issue", that is why mother and babies are held in hospital.
The report shows Beyoncé is doing okay.
Meanwhile, Beyoncé's father Matthew Knowles took to Instagram to wish the twins a happy birthday.
