Gwadar (Staff Report): Two Pakistan Navy officials were martyred and at least three others wounded when their vehicle was attacked by unidentified assailants in the Jiwani area of Gwadar district on Monday.
The naval officers were transporting iftar items during a routine run from Jiwani city when four unidentified assailants on two motorbikes opened fire on their vehicle, a senior local administration official confirmed.
The official added that the injured officials were shifted to Karachi for medical treatment. One of them succumbed to his injuries, bringing the death toll to two. One officer was martyred on the spot.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
