White House overtaken by Russia, Time Magazine depicts

Washington (Web Desk): Latest cover page of Time magazine has drawn world media attention as well as controversy for depicting current situation of US and Russia after latter’s alleged hand in Trump’s elevation to presidency.

The cover picture portrays in one image the Russian scandals plaguing Trump’s presidency by blending the Kremlin and the White House.

The picture shows the front entrance of the White House on one side and the Kremlin’s ornate towers rising on the other in vivid red.

The cover comes after Wednesday when the Department of Justice announced the naming of former FBI Director Robert Mueller as special counsel to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and whether members of the Trump campaign cooperated with Moscow.

The cover page of ‘Time magazine’ illustrates its top story looking into the worried Trump White House as it reacts to the numerous scandals involving Russia.

Earlier, Trump fired former FBI Director James Comey, who was investing Russian involvement in the election and any connection to the Trump campaign.

Following the suspension of FBI Director, Trump shared classified information last week, about an Islamic State plot with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during a White House visit.

Two congressional panels are also looking into Russian meddling in the election along with the FBI.
