ECP rejects petition seeking Imran Khan’s disqualification

Islamabad (Web Desk): The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has rejected a petition seeking the disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, on Monday.

According to details, five-member tribunal of the ECP headed by Chief Election Commissioner resumed hearing of the case of Imran Khan’s disqualification.

Earlier today, the counsel of Imran Khan appeared before the tribunal during proceeding.

The ECP rejected a petition seeking disqualification of Imran Khan on the grounds that the petitioner was unable to pursue the case.

The petition was filed by Talal Chaudhry and Muhammad Khan Daha to disqualify the PTI chairman over submitting an affidavit of not receiving funds from prohibited sources and accusing him of hiding facts from the ECP.
