Panama JIT to present 3rd progress report in Supreme Court today

Islamabad (Staff Report): Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has completed the third progress report regarding Panama Leaks case against the Sharif family which will be presented to the Supreme Court today (Thursday).

According to details, Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Additional Director General Wajid Zia will appear before the three-member SC bench led by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan to submit third progress report.

The third progress report was prepared after reviewing documents provided Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif and interrogations with Sharif brothers and Hussain Nawaz which are being held daily, at the Federal Judicial Academy.

The JIT has only two weeks time left to complete their task.

Earlier on Wednesday, the JIT probing the Panama Papers case against the Sharif family has rejected Captain (r) Safdar’s plea for changing the date of his hearing and directed him to appear on June 24 as per initial orders.
