Nawaz Sharif, Maryam, Captain Safdar appear before court

Islamabad (Staff Report): Ousted Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar reached Accountability Court on Wednesday.

The Accountability Court accepted Nawaz Sharif’s application for exemption from hearings until November 27. However, the former Prime Minister along with his family members has reached to attend the hearing in Accountability Court today.

Under strict security arrangements a number of the senior leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and party workers reached court.

The Accountability Court resumed hearing corruption references filed against Sharif Family by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

The court has summoned four witnesses of the prosecution including Malik Tayyab, Shehbaz, Mazhar Bangash and Rashid in today’s hearing. It is also expected to decide on declaring Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz proclaimed offenders.
