Lahore (Staff Report): Meteorological Department has predicted hot and dry weather for most parts of the country during the next twelve hours.

According to Met , rain with thunderstorm and gusty winds are expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara Peshawar, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, and Lahore divisions, FATA, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

In Karachi another powerful thunderstorm hit on Tuesday night, bringing heavy rain, lightning and power cuts.
Consequently, the showers flooded major streets in the city, halting traffic and plunging many areas of Karachi into darkness as dozens of K-Electric feeders tripped due to heavy rain.
