Pakistan to celebrate Quaid’s day, Christmas on Sunday

Lahore (Staff Report): - The 141st birth anniversary of father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Christmas will be celebrated on Sunday across the Pakistan.

The day will dawn with special prayers for prosperity, development and progress of the country. National flag hoisting ceremonies on all principal government buildings will be held to mark the birthday of the founder of Pakistan.

A quintessential ‘Change of Guard’ ceremony will also be held at the mausoleum of the Quaid-e-Azam in Karachi today (Saturday) as a fresh batch of soldiers will be taking responsibility of guard duty.

Meanwhile, the Christian community will celebrate Christmas tomorrow across the world to mark the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ (AS).

Special services will be held in churches across the country to mark the day.  

Strict security arrangements have been made around all churches and Christian community's residential colonies to avoid any untoward incident.

A special Christmas Peace Train was launched from Islamabad on Thursday as part of Christmas celebrations.
