Islamabad (Staff Report): The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has extended applicability period of reduced rate of withholding tax of 0.4% on banking transactions for non-filers up to 30th of June this year.
The ECC meeting was held under the chair of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar here on Tuesday.
The committee also gave approval to export of 200,000 tonnes of sugar.
The ECC approved public sector procurement of wheat for 2016-17 crop against the target of 7.05 million tons. It also accorded approval for disbursement of one month’s salary worth 380 million rupees for December last year for employees of Pakistan Steel Mills, Karachi.
