Ex-PM Nawaz leaves for London to meet ailing wife

Lahore (Staff Report): Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on easrly Wednesday left for London to meet his ailing wife who was diagnosed with throat cancer.

According to details, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader will be abroad with his wife and sons during Eid. Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, the wife of PML-N leader, is reportedly under treatment for throat cancer.

Last week, Kulsoom Nawaz was diagnosed with lymphoma, a cancer of the lymph nodes on the left side of her neck.

Doctors have said that Kulsoom’s ailment is curable and the “treatment shouldn’t be too complicated.”

Kulsoom is PML-N's nominated candidate for NA-120 after the seat fell vacant following Nawaz's disqualification and ouster from PM office on Supreme Court's July 28 verdict.

Maryam Nawaz has taken charge of running election campaign of her mother in the constituency.

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif accompanied the former prime minister at the airport.
