Lahore (Staff Report): Christian community on Sunday all over the world including Pakistan is celebrating Easter Festival with zeal and enthusiasm to mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ (AS).
The Christians living in Pakistan have decorated their homes and places of worship to celebrate Easter with religious fervor, while special prayers have been arranged in churches.
Police and law enforcing agencies have taken fool-proof security measures, while personnel have also been deployed outside religious places.
The government of Pakistan has wished a joyous and happy Easter to the Christian community within Pakistan and all around the world.
The Ministry of Interior has announced April 2, 2018, (Monday) as optional holiday for Christian community on the occasion of “Day after Easter”.
According to a notification of the ministry, April 2 would only be an optional holiday for the Christian community of the country.
