Govt increases petrol price by Rs5.15 per litre

Islamabad (Staff Report): The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government on Wednesday increased price of petrol by Rs5.15 per litre.

According to details, Prime Minister Imran Khan approved a summary recommended by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority's (OGRA) to increase the prices of all petroleum products.

On Tuesday, Ogra had proposed an increase of Rs 5.15 per litre in motor spirit (MS), Rs 5.65 per litre in high speed diesel (HSD), Rs 5.38 in kerosene oil and Rs 8.90 per litre in light diesel oil (LDO).

The new prices for a litre of petrol, diesel, kerosene oil, and light diesel were Rs117.83, Rs132.47, Rs103.84, and Rs90.52, respectively.

The new prices came into effect from August 1.
