Justice Sardar Shamim Khan takes oath as LHC chief justice

Lahore (Staff Report): Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan on Tuesday took oath as 48th Chief Justice of Lahore High Court (LHC).

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar administered the oath to the new chief justice at Governor's House Lahore.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, members of the provincial cabinet and other dignitaries were also present at the oath-taking ceremony.

Justice Shamim replaced justice (retd) chief justice Anwar ul Haq, who had become the chief justice of the provincial high court in October, retired from his position on Monday, just two months into the job.
