Lahore (Staff Report): Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Friday vowed to ensure that there is no delay in the upcoming general elections .

“General elections will be held on July 25 and we will not allow any delay no matter what,” Justice Nisar said during a hearing in the Supreme Court’s Lahore Registry on a petition against the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) code of conduct for the upcoming general elections .

Earlier the day, former Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice (retd) Nasirul Mulk took oath as caretaker prime minister of Pakistan after the 14th National Assembly completed its five-year term last night.

The oath taking ceremony held in Aiwan-e-Sadr at 11:00 pm today.

The country’s military leadership, civilian principals as well as diplomats attended the oath-taking ceremony of Nasirul Mulk for caretaker prime minister.
