BCCI president Anurag Thakur removed from office by Indian Supreme Court

New Delhi (Web Desk): The Indian Supreme Court (SC) removed Anurag Thakur from the post of as president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Indian media reported on Monday.

The SC also issued a showcause notice concerning charges of perjury and contempt of court.

BCCI president Anurag Thakur has until Jan 19 to reply to the Indian apex court's charges, alongside BCCI Secretary Ajay Shirke.
