Pak Army repulses attack on North Waziristan border post, kills 7 terrorists

Rawalpindi (Staff Report): At least seven terrorists were killed and three others were injured after the Pakistan Army repulsed a cross-border attack on a border post in North Waziristan tribal district, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.

The military’s media wing said the terrorists from across the border fire raided Pakistani border post in North Waziristan. The militants fire was effectively responded by Pakistani border post, the ISPR added. Friendly forces suffered no casualties as per details of the ISPR statement.

Pakistan Army had launched a massive military operation, codenamed Zarb-e-Azb, in North Waziristan in 2014 against foreign terrorists and their local cohorts.

The terrorists were comprehensively defeated and their command and control network was decimated. Hundreds were killed, while the rest managed to slip into Afghanistan taking advantage of the porous border.
