Islamabad (Staff Report): A one-day plantation campaign titled ‘Plant for Pakistan’ has been launched from Sunday (today) across the country.
Arrangements have been made to provide cost-free samplings through 190 distribution points across the country, Radio Pakistan reported.
About 1.5 million trees will be planted under the campaign as part of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government’s ten billion tree Tsunami 2018 drive.
During the campaign, people will be given free of cost saplings at one hundred and ninety distribution points across the country.
The campaign’s objective is to motivate the general public to make Pakistan greener and inspire communities, businesses, industrial sector, organisations and the civil society to come together for the cause.
The drive is also aimed at enlightening people to create a much-needed awareness of the countless benefits of planting trees.
