Public holiday announced on April 4 across province

Karachi (Web Report): a public holiday has been announced by the Sindh government across the province on Tuesday, April 4, to mark the 38th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

Bhutto, the founder of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), was executed in 1979.

A notification issued by the provincial government that shows that all government offices, autonomous bodies, semi-government, corporations and local councils under the provincial administrative control will remain closed.

PPP leaders urged the Supreme Court to process the reference, a request for a retrial on Sunday, filed against their leader’s ‘judicial murder’.
