PM Nawaz inaugurates Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway

Karachi (Staff Report): Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the first phase of 75 kilometers long completed section of the six-lane Karachi-Hyderabad M9 motorway.

Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah welcomed the premier at the airport.

The Prime Minister said while speaking at the ceremony that motorways and roads are not a dream any more. "A good transport network connects people, reduces distance, creates employment and improves economy," the premier added.

The PM stressed that an efficient road network is the need of time.

The federal government has completed 50 percent of the Motorway and it is expected that the entire project will be completed by March 2018.

The 75-kilometre completed track of the 136-kilometre M-9 has four interchanges, including Dada Bhoy, Industrial Valley, Nooriabad and Thano Bola Khan Interchange.
