Tando Allahyar (Staff Report): Former president Asif Ali Zardari has said the next prime minister will send Imran Khan to jail.
Talking to the media here on Tuesday, Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s inexperienced government was unable to handle the country.
“Puppets brought in by elections will not be able to govern. Conditions are serious and the government cannot handle it,” he added.
Zardari said the worst democratic government is better than the best dictatorship.
“This is why we are in Parliament, so other powers do not use our absence to manipulate the system. PTI is trying hard to break the system.”
"He says that he will send the entire opposition to jail but we have the courage and patience to face prison terms. Those who send us to jail will be sent to jail by whoever comes next but will they be able to face prison terms?" he said.
"Mian Sb made accountability courts and laws for us and today he is facing them himself."
Continuing with his criticism of the incumbent government, Zardari said, "I cannot see any foreign policy of the government and I think they only have one policy and that is to break walls of the governor house." Questioning why the walls are being broken, the former president said, "Whether you make a library or a museum in the governor house, you will need walls."
