President Alvi, PM Imran condemn blast near LoC

Islamabad (Web Desk): President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan have strongly condemned the blast on the Line of Control (LoC) near Chhamb sector, the Radio Pakistan reported.

In their separate condolence messages, the President and the PM expressed grief over the loss of precious human lives in the incident.

My profound condolences go to our soldiers, who sacrificed their lives while defending motherland, Prime Minister Imran Khan said in his condolence message.

President Dr Arif Alvi said that the sacrifices of armed forces for the defense of country will always be remembered.

The President and the PM also prayed for the early recovery of those injured in the incident.

Five soldiers of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom and one other sustained injuries in an explosion that took place a few metres from the Line of Control (LoC) in Chamb sector of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Wednesday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

According to ISPR, the incident is evident of state sponsored terrorism by India violating bilateral ceasefire agreement and the international rules.

The martyred soldiers include Subedar Muhammad Sadiq, Sepoy Muhammad Tayyab, Nk Sher Zaman, Sepoy Zohaib, and Sepoy Ghulam Qasim.
