KSE-100 Index shed 654.78 points

Karachi (Staff Report): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Wednesday closed another dreary session as the benchmark KSE-100 Index shed 654.78 points to close at 40461.00 points.

KSE-100 scrips saw renewed activity, with volumes more than doubling from Tuesday's 41.3 million to touch 97.3m on Wednesday. The worth of shares traded was similarly higher, standing at Rs 8 billion compared to Rs 3.15bn a day earlier.

The broader market saw a similar revival, with volumes improving from 102 million shares a day earlier to 192 million shares today. The worth of shares climbed to Rs 9.65 billion compared to Rs4.05bn a day earlier.
