Islamabad (Web Desk): Senate Standing Committee on Interior affairs Chairman Senator Rehman Malik has decided not to pursue cases against American blogger Cynthia D. Ritchie.
In his tweet former minister said: “I with humble nature do not claim victory as it is evident that the lady in question being under pressure from inimical elements was forced into leveling these insinuations against me. I therefore, in good faith and moreover, because I honor women and their dignity, regardless of this matter, would not like to pursue his matter further as I have every reason and proofs to believe that Cynthia Ritchie must have leveled these bogus allegations at the behest of influential elements having nefarious designs to malign me and the top political leadership of our country including first elected lady PM Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto (SMBB).”

Earlier, American blogger Cynthia de Richie had filed a petition in the Secretariat Police Station, in which Rehman Malik was accused of raping her at her residence in 2011. However, Additional District and Sessions Judge Nasir Javed Rana had rejected her petition.
