Lahore (Staff Report): Snowfall occurred in Northern parts of country including upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during last 12 hours.
Meteorological Department predicted that heavy rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over hills is expected at scattered places of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, upper Punjab, including Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore and Faisalabad divisions, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir while at isolated places in Quetta and Zhob divisions during next 24 hours. Cold and dry weather expected elsewhere across the country.
Foggy conditions are likely to prevail over plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during night and morning hours.
Temperature of some major cities recorded on Thursday morning: Islamabad 10 degree centigrade, Lahore and Peshawar 11, Karachi 17, Quetta 4, Gilgit 1, Murree 3 and Muzaffarabad 5 degree centigrade.
