Panamagate case hearing to resume today

Islamabad (Staff Report): A five-member bench of Supreme Court led by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa will resume hearing of Panama Leaks case today (Thursday).

The government will submit its answers over questions asked by the bench during the last hearing.

The SC asked, "Where were 12 million Dirham kept for two decades? From 1980 to 1997 what did Nawaz Sharif do? What is law for money transfer in Dubai and Qatar? How was money invested in the Sharif children's businesses?"

The apex court in its remarks on Wednesday said that it wanted to understand how money was invested into Sharif children's businesses and if Nawaz Sharif exploited his position to extend his business interests while in power.

The bench also decided to hold a hearing on daily basis regarding the Panamagate case.
