Death toll in Israel air strikes rises to 12, troops withdraw from Jenin

Tel Aviv (Web Desk): Israel launched air strikes on the Gaza Strip, responding to the rockets fired from the coastal enclave in Palestine, while the army pulled out of Jenin city in the occupied West Bank after one of the biggest military operations.

At least twelve Palestinians and an Israeli soldier have been killed during the assault on a Jenin refugee camp, launched early on Monday under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s hard-right government.

The raid, Israel’s biggest military operation in years in the West Bank, employed hundreds of troops as well as drone strikes and army bulldozers that ripped up streets.

The residents were seen returning and assessing damage in the Jenin refugee after the pullout of forces.
Over 1,000 troops had been deployed in Jenin under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's far-right government.

Israeli jets hit an underground weapons manufacturing facility in response, the military said, but it was not immediately clear whether there would be any further escalation.
