Pakistan, Italy seek strong bilateral cooperation in diverse fields

Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan and Italy have agreed to strengthen their cordial ties by expanding their bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, defence, culture and people-to-people contacts.

The decision was revealed during the meeting between Foreign Affairs Advisor Sartaj Aziz and Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mr. Angelino Alfano in Rome.

The entire spectrum of bilateral relations and vowed to enhance them further has been reviewed by both sides. They also agreed to promote bilateral trade, investment and joint ventures.

Pakistan and Italy consider terrorism as a major threat and they decided to be eradicated through greater international cooperation.

Both sides agreed on a criteria based and non-discriminatory approach regarding membership of the Nuclear Suppliers Group.
