PM Office issues ‘red letter’ to 27 ministries for delay in task completion

Islamabad (Staff Report/Agencies): Prime Minister's Office has issued a 'red letter' to 27 ministries/divisions over failure to submit reports regarding the tasks they were assigned under the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The PMO asked the concerned ministries/divisions to complete the tasks they were assigned by September 9 and to submit a compliance report on the matter to the premier.

The office has given the deadline of September 9 to submit information on vacancies and postings at every level in the ministries.
The letter also called for details on officers who are worthy of promotions but have not been promoted, government officers who have had disciplinary investigations against them pending for three months and cars, machinery and items that are not being used by the ministries.

The red letter — considered to be a final warning and expression of displeasure — was issued to the secretaries for 27 federal ministries/divisions out of a total of 34 ministries.
