Security forces kill TTP commander in Bannu

Bannu (Staff Report): A key leader of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was killed in an encounter with the security forces on Monday in Jani Khel area of Bannu.

According to sources, the terrorist killed in the firing was identified as Naseeb-ur-Rehman who was one of the main leaders of TTP.

The militant opened fire and was killed in retaliatory firing by the security forces when they were patrolling the area.

As per the security sources, the killed militant was wanted in several terror-related cases. He has been managing to escape the arrest during the earlier operations conducted by the security forces.

In June, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief Mullah Fazlullah was also killed in a US drone strike in Afghanistan’s Kunar province.
