5 soldiers martyred in terrorist attack at Pak-Afghan border: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Staff Report): Five soldiers of the Pakistan Army martyred and over 10 terrorists were reportedly killed in a cross-border terrorist attack on three Pakistani border posts along the Pak-Afghan border area on Sunday night, Pak army’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed.

According to ISPR statement, Afghan terrorists had targeted the posts on Sunday night in Mohmand Agency.

The statement further said that effective presence, vigilance and befitting response repulsed terrorists attempt.

The martyred soldiers were identified as Naik Sanaullah, Naik Safdar, Sepoy Altaf, Sepoy Nek Mohammad and Sepoy Anwar.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa lauded the sacrifices rendered by the martyred troops of the Pak Army. The Army Chief also appreciated the timely action of Pak Army Troops.

ISPR said that COAS has stressed upon the necessity of Pak Army at the Afghan border.
