CPEC holds enormous opportunities for regional connectivity: PM Nawaz

Kuwait (Staff Report): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said while addressing the Pakistani community in Kuwait that all the international financial institutions have acknowledged Pakistan’s journey towards economic growth and have upgraded our ratings.

The Premier said that major economic indicators of the country also showed remarkable financial output and Pakistani Stock Market is considered one of the best in the world.

PM Nawaz further added that government has started a score of energy projects to overcome energy crisis which has now reduced to three to four hours from fourteen to sixteen hours daily. 

 “Under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor worth fifty billion dollars, special focus has been made on energy generation,” PM Nawaz said.

He also acknowledge the efforts of government for upgrading energy plants due to which industry is getting electric supply for twenty-four hours without any disruption which will have a good impact on production and subsequently exports of the country.

On terrorism, Prime Minister stated that people and security forces have rendered numerous sacrifices to eradicate this scourge.

Earlier talking to a group of chief executives of leading Kuwaiti companies, Prime Minister said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor hold a huge opportunity for regional connectivity and trade.         

He informed Kuwaiti CEOs that his government is facilitating investors through one window operations thereby ensuring ease of business.    

The CEOs thanked the Prime Minister for visiting Kuwait and inviting them to invest in Pakistan.
