Islamabad (Staff Report/Agencies): Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the government will start distributing the relief money among lower-income people from Thursday.

Talking to the media about prevailing Coronavirus situation, the premier said that a sum of Rs12,000 will be distributed among 12 million families, who have been hit by financial crisis due to the ongoing lockdown. The cash distributing among deserving families will be completed within next two and half weeks, he added.

"There is no question of any political affiliation in this fund," he declared, adding that he wanted everyone to take part in the relief programme initiated by the government and register with the Corona Tigers Relief Force.

The prime minister urged the opposition leaders, parliamentarians and civil society to support government in its endeavours to steer Pakistan out of Covid-19.
