US expresses grief over loss in PIA plane crash

Washington: Mark C Toner, Deputy Spokesperson for the State Department expressed extreme grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane crash happened on Wednesday evening in which 47 on board were killed.

He said that US has been following reports of the crash of a PIA flight, a domestic flight en route from Chitral to Islamabad. He offered help with rescue or recovery operation. He condoled with the families of the victims.

Toner also offered every possible assistance to the Pakistani government and said that they embassy in Islamabad was constantly in contact with the government.
